Feeding Guide

Slobberman.dog’s products are a result of exhaustive iteration & testing, however, every doggo is as unique as it is special.

A dog’s energy requirements are subject to its specific breed, lifestyle and life stage more than just it’s size classification.

Lean and agile breeds can have a higher metabolic rate than stockier breeds. For the same weight, shih tzus over pugs, whippets over bulldogs, dobermans over labradors or Great Danes over English mastiffs.

The lifestyle of the dog is beyond just the amount of time it spends on its feet. The treats it receives and the access to other food during the day should be considered while deciding it’s daily rations.

The specific response of the dog to food is of important consequence as well. Some dogs (and breeds) can easily overeat to kingdom come, while other’s have their stomach revolting in an almighty mess at the slightest bit of overfeeding.

How to introduce your dog to Slobberman.dog

ALWAYS use a kitchen/ weighing scale. 1 litre of gold is 20 kgs, 1 litre of water is 1 kg! Do not use a cup measure!
As with humans, increased protein consumption can cause loose stools in dogs as well. So please allow the dog to adjust to his/ her enhanced nutrition.
X = Your dog's weight in kg x 10 in grams
Start @ 0.5X/ day. Daily ration is split in 2 meals.
Allow 1-2 days to settle, feed 0.75X, allow 1-2 days, feed X
Increase daily ration by 20% every 2-3 days until the stools become toothpaste consistency.
For adult dogs this is your daily ration.
For puppies, wait 2 weeks and resume increasing by 20% every 3-4 days until the stools are toothpaste like again. Wait 2 weeks, repeat.
You should feed larger dogs from an elevated container so they don’t have to bend too low to reach their food.

Important

Always ensure access of fresh potable water.
Please discard un-eaten kibble. Leaving kibble in the dog’s bowl in contact with moisture will contaminate it.
Some dogs auto-regulate. In this case your daily ration is whatever the dog is able to complete. Please don't make a habit of leaving excess food in the bowl.
Please ensure the food containers are thoroughly cleaned after every meal, to limit the risk of contamination.
Store Slobberman.dog in a cool & dry place, Ideally in air-tight containers.

My dog has loose motions/ diarrhoea! What do I do?

When the output (stools) is complicated (loose), ascertain the variety of inputs to isolate the cause. Some dogs can have a sensitive constitution and any environmental changes can induce undesirable excrement.
